
Hirtshalsbanen (Danish for "The Hirtshals Railway") is a 16 km (10 mi) long railway that connects Hirtshals and [wiki=75a95dc17654047f33aa85f9d6a68ee6]Hjørring[/wiki], a major train stop and transport center. There are three (3) ferry terminals in Hirtshals, operated by the following companies:
* Runs two routes out of Hirtshals to destinations in Norway; [wiki=54e85cbe1dcafdb11da5123993113fca]Kristiansand[/wiki] (3 hrs 15 minuttes) and [wiki=a08791e7d52e331aba732577b0e5e540]Larvik[/wiki] (3 hrs 45 minuttes).
* Runs an overnight route to [wiki=dd755cfcbe227d7271b91c1be176fe6f]Stavanger[/wiki] (11½ hours), continuing onwards to [wiki=d36096a10b82aadd44de1efb13058c0b]Bergen[/wiki] (19½ hours), both in [wiki=d5b9290a0b67727d4ba1ca6059dc31a6]Norway[/wiki]. The ferry departs Hirtshals Tuesdays at 14.30 and on Thursdays and Sundays at 12.30. Plus a departure just to Stavanger Saturday (8,5 hrs).
