my husband and I had a spectacular experience here when we stayed in July. "Julie" as she let us call her, was so kind and welcoming as was the rest of our staff. From the amazing meals, to helping us get bus cards it was the kind of experience I had hoped to have for my first trip to Italy!! I gave 5 stars for location but should note this place is right in the middle of everything which I LOVED but it also meant that I could hear teenagers dancing the macarena in the plaza one night.

Italy has always felt like coming home to me. Unlike any other place, abroad or in the US, the ancient energy seems to connect to my DNA like an old friend. Villa Della Fonte reminds me of my Italian grandmothers’ kitchens - you always felt welcome and never wanted to leave. If you want to be treated better than family, in a comfortable space, with an exquisite breakfast and views look no further. Stay here and experience the real la dolce vita. The way of life many have aspired to imitate but none have come close to replicating.

The location and staff were wonderful. Very relaxing on two plant and flower covered terraces. Close to plenty of excellent restaurants and very lively at night. Will stay here again on any trip to Rome!!

Notwithstanding the amazing location, this is one of the few places to experience real Italian hospitality. Never experienced such warmhearted kindness, generosity and warmth in any hotel or B & B like I did here. The breakfast was spectacular, the room clean and cozy, the staff and hotel owner extremely welcoming and attentive. There are very few places left when you are made to feel home like this.
